The award-winning writer Igoni Barrett, with Nigerian and Jamaican roots would be a guest writer at the Two Seasons Talking Trees Literary Fiesta.
A. Igoni Barrett was a writer-in-residence at the Chinua Achebe Center in Mombassa, and would be at the Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center in Italy in September. He is well-known in Nigeria as the organiser of BookJam reading series (a monthly writer's meeting which features published writer). He also founded Blackbiro before joining Kachifo (Publishers of Farafina), as Managing editor of Farafina magazine.
