Makoko - Dreams on water

IV
After today we shall berth in a row
With dreams floating in semblance
Of boats hauling desires to shores
Where there’s everywhere on minds
And power settles for repose and luck.

'Makoko - dreams on water' is a poetry and photography collaboration between photographer, Toye Gbade and myself.

Please view the rest of this project here: Maroko....Dreams on water

Subsequently, we will be regular in The Guardian Newspaper and would appreciate if you can also follow and show us your support.

Many thanks.

  3. I know its number 4 , but I really like the way you've equated the boatmen's dreams with the cadence of their boats and the progress of their jobs.
So much relevance to the person who is wondering about their own life now. Well done you two.
